La mattina dell’8 febbraio 1977, Anthony G. “Tony” Kiritsis, quarantaquattro anni, entrò nell’ufficio di Richard O. Hall, presidente della Meridian Mortgage Company, e lo prese in ostaggio con un fucile a canne mozze calibro 12 collegato con un “dead man’s wire”, un cavo teso dal grilletto al collo di Hall.
